I've just spotted a set of bars I sold for £20 posted on here up for £60 + £13.50 postage on eBay "nono"
-
To be fair, i sent a set of MKII EZ bars a while ago through royal mail and they charged me £16 postage! so an extra £4 for packaging/petrol/time??
just being Devils advocate

I know what you're saying Rob, wheels yes, but bars? You can send a frame for that!

I'm with you Nick, agreed it's a piss take. :daumenhoch:
i only ever sent the one set of bars as i refused to pay £16 to send another set

You have to realise Nick, this is Ebay buddy. They clout the seller now on postage too, 13.4%, and it is about £10 - £12 to post bars through Royal Mail, signed for and insured.
-
It puts them into the same price bracket as new ones, which would I buy?

Just had a quick look at Royal Mail and they want £12.98 to send as a large parcel 48hr .
I don't think you can send them normal recorded (medium parcel) due to size unless there under 61cm wide .
Hermes will probably be cheaper .

That may be true Chris but some will choose not to.
I myself choose Royal Mail because I have a small PO next to my daughters school, it's never busy, she gives me the best prices and it I only ever post when I take her to school or pick her up so it's all in the same journey buddy. Thats just me though :daumenhoch:

£19.50 Frame, Forks, Crank.....£12.95 Very,Very light bars. Feking Royal Mail.

Never had a parcel turn up with Hermes !
Royal mail might be expensive but at least they get there...( I know someone will disagree :))

There is always going to be contrary experiences, no matter what the service. I've only experienced problems with parcel farce.
I just logged into my myHermes account and i've sent 25 shipments in the last 4 weeks, all were delivered without a hitch. I don't use them for anything over £200 though as they don't offer insurance.
There is one irrefutable benefit to using myHermes though which is I can sell stuff for cheaper as i'm charging c.70% less postage than Royal Mail which really makes a difference on low end parts :daumenhoch:
