Hi Im Richard from London the UK and a new member to this Forum.
I have just purchased a 1985 Haro Sport Frame in Chrome and its 8/10 before a detailed Polish and the decisions as to whether to Re-Chrome or to keep Original. The serial is 8503 0080
Anyway.... It seems that because 85 was the year the Neon Green & Blue Versions were launched alongside the white version, the chrome version was made in very very small numbers and is considered quite scarce.
Now....i will be building to original 1985 Early Manufacturers spec however i have a question.
In Early 85 the decals changed on the white version from 3 accent stripes to Two and the early versions "freestyler" changed to green and then later to Blue.
The question i have is how did this effect the Chrome version.
Did the chrome version still have 3 accent stripes or two and did the "Freestyler" remain in Red.
Company spec at Haro only mention the changes to the White version.
I notice that the rare survivor pink 85 had two accents so my conclusion is
the chrome version had two accent stripes and freestyler remained in red .
Haro Experts ....any thoughts on this ?

of the 12 chrome 85 fst Haros on the museum some are blue, some are green, .....
however there's one NOS when he got it and it's red and has (like all others there) TWO stripes.......... http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/haro/40234
...whatever that means, i'm no help sorry, and the 85 cat on museum has only tiny pics :-X
(here's a 3 striped decal (1984) for that curious reader http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/haro/40821)

yeah :daumenhoch: i see Colin (Jedi101) already kinda answered your question (http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=4839933#p4839933) with the link to a 85 cat with a clear pic of the chrome 1985 haro sport, so guess green's the best guess then....
