Title: any tips on lowing my seat post both post and frame been powercoated its tight

still needs to go down about 2 inches have sprayed it and hit with a hammer lol or do I need to turn it with seat on? cheers los

Can you get it back out now you've hit it down?

I've found out that a build up of rust is quite a common problem. I usually tape a piece of sandpaper around a cylindrical piece of dowling wood, and lightly sand the inner part of the seat tube. I then give it a clean with some wd40 on a rag wrapped around the piece of wood again
