Ok so i picked up a set of new WHITE tuffs the other week, the guy has only used them once but with BLACK brake pads.
Anyone know a quick easy way to remove this without marking up the wheels ?
Thanks in advance

you could try T cut or similar, but I reckon careful application of a razor blade is the easy way!!

One of them white magic sponges will do it...

Its a proper cynt of a job in all honesty, anyone that says 'a bit of brake rub but easily sorted' has never done it themselves. I hate it and has put me off buying old tuffs in the past

Cif & 1 one of those curly metal pan scouring things Cal, scotchbrite works too bud I used purple on some zytecs recently :daumenhoch:
-
Tippex :daumenhoch:
-
I used Boiling water and did a bit at a time, the hot water soffens the rubber left behind by the brakes and then used a razor for the stubbon bits.
-
orbital sander, check my z rim resto thread, thats what i used
-
Cream cleanser (Cif) on a kitchen scotch brite sponge ... works every time :daumenhoch:

Craft knife and fine paper.

Stanley knife blade and drag it towards you keeping it level. Boring job but easy enough. Then go over it all with a scotchbrite scrubby pad thing...
-
Bolt the wheel in the frame or fork, lay the blade in the rim and run the wheel away from the blade edge while pressing firmly.
You will get a near finish to the rim and it's not tedious this way either :daumenhoch:

I use wet n dry. start with 180 grit and work up to 1200, then a bit of t cut. Tedious but works :daumenhoch:
