Are we going to keep the new RADBMX logo? :-\ I know its for MK14 but I prefer it than the old one. :)

I think the leave it as it is. It doesn't say old school UK BMX to me. If the MK14 logo isn't on the prismatic background like the stickers, it looks like a packet of sweets and not very BMX.

As soon as you see it it screams old school bmx imo due to the mongoose decal colours etc

I really like the old logo but why not change it every month, a bit like google do with their google doodles? That way it keeps everyone happy. It could be whatever bike wins BOTM the logo is changed to reflect the make of bike that won the previous month?

Got to agree with Julian. The initial idea was genius. It said everything and is instantly recognizable in the heart of every 80'S UK BMX child.
I dare say every single over 40 on this forum bought at least 1 copy of that mag as a kid.
The majority of UK kids didn't own a goose even though the brand firmly has it's place in bmx history.
I love the new one for MK, it does make us look a lot like ......

though.
If a change is required why not go for a format, that like the BMX ACTION BIKE mag logo is iconic to the UK.
Im sure Beard would be happy to knock up an ammended version of this design of his for this forum.

It was never intended to be the new site logo, I only knocked it up for MK
I like the old BMX action one, but I also like the idea of having a google-style approach where we change it around a bit now and then (provided of course that Bru doesn't mind doing the admin to change it)
Do we know what size the image should be? That way people can go crazy submitting ideas that might just fit on the screen? Rich you might have to turn the masturbating cat pic 90 degrees :daumenhoch:
Always up for adding new designs to the merch shop too, there are loads of creative people on here with actual skills so why not have a go?

We all pay attention to detail with our builds, so if this site gets a new logo then at least spend some time fine tuning it ffs.

I think there should also be the option for an entirely new logo.No offense but don't think the Mongoose one is right as it's too brand specific as stated before.It being the 10th anniversary, it seems right for a change or overhaul.I don't mind doing the artwork once one is chosen.Would just need to know size,format,res,etc.

I wasn't having a pop at anyone, I don't even know who produced the mongoose style logo. But for me, the letters all need closing up, it's too gappy. Look at the og mongoose logo which was done using traditional artwork techniques in the 70's and you'll get the idea. Just cos you type some letters on a computer doesn't mean its correctly balanced.... that's why you have the tools in most applications to adjust the KERNING.
I don't mind helping out with artwork either :daumenhoch:

I was happy enough just getting the spacing even (well I thought they were even)
That took some kerning, but clearly I should have followed the exact design principles that were used in the 70s and adjusted the kerning some more. Who knows, if I'd have had more than 10 minutes to put the thing together I might have even done more research and moved all the letters slightly closer together.
