Title: Sayin' Hi !
Post by: aldo on July 15, 2014, 12:41 PM
Hi Everyone,

Recently joined the site after developing an itch to pour over old school BMX clips on youtube and reminisce fondly about BITD !

Now find myself with a pre-order for a 2014 Mike Dominguez Sport  -  how did that happen.

It gets worse, now I'm scouring ebay like a junkie, looking for an old school frameset to start a project on.

I think I'm in the right place here then, eh   ?     ;D

You're in the right place alright. You'll be going through money like a junkie when you get going.

 :welcome to RAD  :)

You have defo found the right place  :D , some great lads on here that will tell you everything you need to know about old school BMX .

Get yourself a site supporter tag , only cost's a tenner and you can say goodbye to a few months wages ( and the rest  :-X ) by buying your stuff from the for sale section . More often than not it's cheaper and less hassle than ebay  ;)

Thanks for the welcome, and yes I could use some advice when it comes to how much some of the old school stuff is worth.

For example, I see Haro Masters advertised on Ebay for anywhere between £700 and £3000. I know specs can vary and some of the more expensive ones are being touted as mint survivors..... but that's a huge price spread right there and makes it hard to know a sensible value. I also notice they don't seem to shift at the higher prices so makes me question the sticker price greatly.

Any advice on who to ask regarding old school OG Haro's circa '84 / '85  would be appreciated.

cheers.
