Carefully!!!

i use a little bottle that sprays mist, put a bit of soap in the water and spray the frame where your stickers goin. you need to put enough on that the sticker slides about then you can get it where you want then just keep smoothing it down and it will look pukka.
good luck. ;)
-
Ok, how much soap in the water & is washing up liquid best to use ?
-
brut ..splash it all over. no as above i spray it on in a weedkiller bottle dont soak it badly .maybe try it on an old frame with rubbish sticker to get the feel then lightly hair dry it
-
if your carefull and it's not an oval tube, it shouldn't be a biggy.

whatever, just a bit.. it prob don't really matter..
-
don`t use washing up liquid as corrosive , that why people don`t use it on there cars

So what is the best to use ?
-
When I apply stickers to my van, i just use water in a mister bottle, dont think you need anything else...
-
Ok thanks guys I will try tonight & post the results. ???
Thanks for all the help :daumenhoch:
-
One drop of fariy in that water is all that's needed.
It's that old pin on the water's surface thing.
-
I agree, just a drop mixed in with a mister-bottle full of water
-
i just use soap ie chucked it in a bucket and let it sit there for a while and there your soapy water . reason i say don`t use fairy liquid is corrosive and long term also even worse if chrome frame but hey what do i know as everyone else says use it :idiot2:

Paul, to be safe I will use soap :daumenhoch:
-
I'd never considered it could be corrosive, good tip, I missed it above.
Maybe washing up liquid could dull paintwork underneath a sticker too over a long period of time?
I'll take a note of that, I used to do van signage and will mention it to the guys I worked with.
Got visions now of people removing stickers and the paint is a different shade underneath.
The concentrations I used were so low hopefully it wasn't a problem on paint :-\
-
Washing up liquid contain's salt - that is the corrosive element.
One drop ain't gonna do shit.
Just don't wash your feckin' car with it, okay?
-
In the past, car restorers have used NEAT washing up liquid to ease on windsreen rubbers /grommets etc.
Few years down the road, it all all rots out. Think that's where the story's originate.
-
well one drop will do damage as it` still salt content and you telling me that when you put your stickers on ,the water will not contain traces of salt ,may be it will know that you are putting your stickers on and not go near
-
Stunt, that soap you chucked in your bucket? It contained salt.
Your water softener(if you've got one), that's gonna salty up your water too.
So stop worrying about the salt, allright?
Lets just enjoy the decals. Or 'stickers' as we used to call 'em......feckin' yanks.

-
Are you gonna keep it then Chris ?
-
Really not sure, its nice but I like Haro's better.
-
Does the water tip, work with normal decals or just foil backed?
Got my redline ones through today and want to put them on my frame.
-
Jim, it works well with vinyl stickers, a fine mist, no detergent. once in position, leave em to dry, then smooth out again
-
Cheers Tony
Just gotta keep the cats out the way now. Nosey mo'fos!
