Title: Cost of shipping full bike in the UK
Post by: aldo on August 10, 2014, 07:10 PM
Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could advise on what the shipping costs would be for a complete bike (Haro Sport), UK shipping only.

Anyone got some idea on prices, and best packing method inc cost of packaging?

cheers
Al

Be careful though,as depending on the bikes full value,on these cheap courier deals you are only insured up to £250.
I sold a complete for £1250 and paid nearly £50 to post it with insurance to its full value just for my piece of mind,as I would have hated for it to get lost or damaged(which can happen)to then only get a fraction of its value back.....

Received a couple of bikes wrapped in Plumbers Pipe Foam. Thought that was a good idea.

So when I Sold a Frame a couple of months back I done the same. You can do a full bike for £3 or £4 from B&Q  :)
