Blimey, i thought they were much earlier. Most tyres were blackwall by '95/6, can't argue with facts though.  :)

Yep - 98 the Rainbow BL's. Come '99 tho you could get the BL's with Tioga in white writing on the walls. After then they turned sh1te.

Totally out on my thinking too.

That would mean I'd be looking for rainbows, well that puts the kibosh on that.

Roight - just been through all me Ride mags from 1995-1999.

The deffo earliest BL Rainbow I can find is 1997, I know Hot Wheels didn't sell BL's till '98.

So looks like it's 97 not 98 :)
