Not enough OA, plus leave it longer.

Cam only offer citric acid advice but I imagine it's as Sean says :daumenhoch:

Yep - X2 on the not enough/too short a time.
Find CA's better than OA to be honest - also find CA quite nice with a G&T ;D

LOL Danny hard to beat a wee G&T,when i lifted the spokes & nipples out of the OA it was still all crystaly, a fooking nightmare to get the nips dried off thought i had them all dried and checked the stuff i have in the CA before i went to work and noticed the nips from the OA are going a bit rusty and moldy,i dont fancy polishing the nips on the buffer might let the kids do it when i have them up next weekend "wantit" :LolLolLolLol: :D >:D

That's half the prob with OA and CA - if it's bare metal you're de-rusting they can leave a dull residue on the metal, which needs a polishing out. With little things like spokes and nips, it can be a pain in the arris to sort out, so most of the time you're better off buying new.
Spoke cleaning tip though, save up them old corks from bottles of wine, cut a slot in the top of the cork, slap a tiny amount of Autosol on the spoke and put the spoke in the slot in the cork, run cork up and down spoke and jobs a good'n. Helps strengthen the right wrist as well for those lonely winter evenings in front of the computer :)
