Title: 1999 haro dave Mirra pro finished and not repainted
Post by: Dodge-13 on September 07, 2014, 08:01 PM
I've finally found a 1999 haro dave Mirra pro, only took 14 months lol
It needs a light restoration but its all original apart from the grips which I should be able to find
And it's hardly been ridden
Can't wait to get it sorted  :)

It's only original once - the scars make it more mid-school fella. Just my opinion though  :daumenhoch:

Yeah I know what you mean man
Will see how good I can get the rest of it cleaned up first and go from there

yeah, don't paint it! the scars make 'em cooler. i've done it in the past and it just doesn't feel the same as a bike with real paint.

Nice bike, I'm trying to think if it's a Mirra or Nyquist I have in my shed......??

Seen as I'll be moving in a couple of weeks I guess I'll soon have to have a clear ot of the shed again so it may just make me pull my finger  out and get it going again.... :D

I'll bet that'll come up all sparkly without a new paint job.  ;)
Give it a go before you make any rash decisions... I would.  :daumenhoch:

Cheers dudes

It was pretty dull when i got it but i polished it with some autoglym and was surprised how well it came up
It has some scratches and chips but it still looks good now ive built it up
I think cause my last 2 builds the evel & condor had fresh mint paint i thought this should be up to the same standard

Lovely bike. I had that frame and crank (the crank twice !). I bought a 3pc USA made for my Quadangle (stolen) and then later bought a Taiwan made Cosmo (99 in yellow) which came with the same crank but Taiwan made.

My Cosmo had a frame defect. Basically the dropout was welded on cack and the chain was eating at the frame. All was well until I decided to pull a gap with a 9ft drop and I just heard this crack lol. Apparently the chain had eaten into the frame a bit more than I thought...

Phoned the distro in the UK (forget which one) and they said because I built it blah blah blah. I'm sure you've all heard it. Any way I phoned Haro in the USA *pissed* and they 48 houred me a Mirra Pro with Fedex. Exactly the same one you have there.

I never did build it. I sold it shortly after to a mate.
