First of all hello from a newbie, I have a 1986 mag burner, I have just been offered a gt pro performer, I've been told it's a 1984 but I'm not so sure. If any one could help that would be great. Cheers Steve

It's the rare Australian model :D

How can you tell? It's complete but in bits and it's not cheap so I need to make sure, i'm struggling to find a serial number and because I haven't paid for it yet I don't really want to go stripping the white off to find one.
-
I don't think it's an '84 Steve.
I have had an '84 US and it didn't have a cable guide on the downtube like yours has, i'd say yours was an '87, but i'm no expert. :-\

It's not a 84, the platform on the top tube should be welded central onto the top tube, if it top of the tube it's a later one, 86+ also deffo didn't have cable guides, and the serial should be vid able on the outside of the rear drop out, it will have 84 in it. Does it have forks ?
-
Yes it has forks (http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k115/steveelson/bmx/20140908_154920.jpg)[/URL]

Looks to me also like a 1987 model... serial under the BB :daumenhoch:

I think that clears that one up. Thanks for your help
