Title: Roof bar cycle carriers
Post by: ade on September 09, 2014, 10:26 AM
We have decided we are going to go to the Grill n Chill show in a couple of weeks, but we are going to have issues getting our bikes to the show, I have a set of roof bars for my car for but no bike carriers.
Obviously the BMX are very precious ;) and I want to buy good carriers for the roof, but what ones to buy? Any advice please?

Yep. Find out the thule part numbers for your vehicle and shop around. I saved over £100 on the halfords price for the bits I bought (2 wing bars and 3 cycle carriers)
They work well for bmx and mtb.

There's some in my big Tescos near me......£15 a piece. Ideal if your not gonna use them that often.

Not sure of quality but they look ok and have a lock too.

Might get a set myself

These are em........for some reason they're only 15 quid in store near me.

Thanks all, was looking at Thule, not sure if I should go with the cheap end or splash out on the high end ones, might just be best to buy their best ones, considering the cost of the bikes it might be sensible!
