Title: 93 Condor Project *** Now Finished Page 2***
Post by: midschooljon on September 13, 2014, 10:25 PM
After many years of searching I finally managed to get hold of a SE made Condor. Bren (Ron Burgundy) has had this one for some time, and I always admired it. Its a nice survivor 93 SE made Condor with original decals. Its also got the correct fork and seatpost so when it came up for sale I knew it was one I had to have. Bren was even kind enough to throw in a few mid school mags when I went to collect it so thanks very much for that.  :daumenhoch:

I got the bike complete with a bunch of really nice parts on it. The idea is to keep it pretty much as I got it, and simply replace any non era correct bits with era correct ones, as well as make a few subtle changes of my own.

At the moment its is stripped down with all the various bits getting cleaned up. I have collected a few parts already, and also have some Patriot bars on the way to replace the Low Drags that were on it originally.

I really want to keep this bike an original survivor so everything going on it will be in nice used condition.

Im looking for some nice japan stamped Tech 77's with locking buttons if anyone has any. Not too fussy about the colour but need to be in nice used condition.   :daumenhoch:

Will post more pics as the rebuild continues.

Did a little more work today. Swapped out the Hombre for a 990. Im trying to hunt down some white DC brake blocks for it so havent finished bolting it all together yet.

I've got a right hand tech 77 jap stamped.  Can send you  some pics if you like.  I bought it back in 93/94 and I'm still wondering where the left one is.  I reckon my folks shed has it somewhere.

I can't see that happening any time soon.  Going into my folks shed is like a life threatening game of Jenga.  Stacked floor to cieling and one wrong move could end up in an avalanche.

Few updates on the build...

Managed to get hold of a lovely set of Patriot bars from the USA.  :smitten: I also managed to get hold of the white DC blocks I was after, so have fitted the bars and brakes. Ed sorted me out with a lovely set of survivor tech 77's so its all coming together now. Still trying to track down a back or green Kashimax Rs seat though, and a used sprocket pocket. If anyone has either please let me know.  :daumenhoch:
