Has anyone seen / own a Tuf Neck Stem - Free Style Model...

There is a square notch out of the bottom of them...

Circa 1984...

never owned one but have seen a few for sale.  I had a Pro model with a hollow bolt, the longer stem  the better on most OS frames!  :daumenhoch:

thats a tufneck ace,not a freestyle stem.never seen one eddie.

my mistake! I did think that as I posted it but I thought the cut out for the bolt was what the Op was talking about!  :daumenhoch:

i got a later tuf neck stem which is a freestyle version ,is long reach as well ie like the hutch stems but don`t ask me for a pic as i don`t know where it is in garage

Ace stems came as freestyle and race. Got a race on my Pistol Pete.
Last freestyle one I had was a NOS blue and Cleedubber has it.

the freestyle ones look a bit like Redline Brute stems underneath
with the buttress type extra support.

Ah right never ever seen one of them full stop not on a bike or for sale or anything so I guess it's going to be a pot luck find getting one , cool stem

never seen one like that before what am i looking at, is that some kind of pots mod, ?? If so hows it work the more i look, the less sense it makes, must be for something else :pilky:

If you save the picture and blow it up guys, you can just make out the exit hole underneath. It doesn't need a big hole as it's only the inner that comes out  :daumenhoch:
