has anyone noticed that survivors always seem to sell for good money compared to show bikes that sit on ebay for months .
maybe people like the unrestored look so they have a project to work on

all the DP owners i knew BITD went from Burners so a logical addition i guess

My first bmx was a Diamondback in '82 bought as a complete bike from Youngs in Lewisham.
Changed a couple of parts, like grips and pedals, then swapped out the wheels for Z-rims. Then bought the DP Freestyle F&F in '84 and used all the parts from the Diamondback.
Must have looked well wrong but it didn't bother me then.
Probably stopped riding it in 85 and gave it to my younger cousin. Asked him what happened to it the other day. He rode it for a couple of years and then him and his mates smashed it up with hammers and left it in the local park.

Probably fetching top dollar as it has the ubiquitous ladder bars on it.
