Title: Skinny tyres/tubes
Post by: CustardLips on September 18, 2014, 03:48 PM: JT's got these 1 1/8 tyres on ebay.

Are these the right ones for 1 3/8 rims or do I need 1 3/8 tyres ?

Brummie Dave taught me well !!

Nick the only difference is the profile is slightly lower , ie it's like fitting a 1.5 tyre instead of a 1.75 to a 20 x 1.75 rim ;)

Post by: dinglem on September 18, 2014, 04:04 PM: These are the very same tyres when fitted...... I've seen 1 3/8 tyres fitted on 1 1/8 rims so i'd imagine they'd go he other way no problem. They are mega skinny... i bought 2 pairs, although i'm going for 1 3/8 on my next build.

Cheapest I could find them for was £4.24 each

Found a pair of Kenda tubes on ebay for £7.49 posted. Sorted. ;)
