Nice build esp the gt he-man pedals :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
i think the challenger bars didnt come out till mid 94 and the hop up kit a few years later but they work well :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
your serial no is close to mine, my serial no is 2156 :daumenhoch:
-
Lovely that is Tel :daumenhoch:
-
Mmmmmmm
This will be one of them race things again Terry "nono"
-
Thanks guys :)
The pedals Ben, were the hardest part to get for this. I have only ever seen 3 sets for sale in the last 6 years. I got offered many sets of the junior pedals but the Pro size, well, they are like rocking horse poo to be honest mate. They popped up on another forum and I was lucky enough to be on and was first to them :daumenhoch:
Kev, I don't know why I left the 'hop up kit' in the listing buddy as the cranks have all the original bolts and bearings :crazy2: ;D I was using another to edit to quickly get this listed earlier while the kids were in the garden :( The bars came with the frame set and would have been silly not to use them :daumenhoch:

Freestyler on the way buddy  Just need to swap a few things about :daumenhoch:

Lovely that is Tel - if you're gonna ride it (and I know you are), watch your shins on them pedals - they're grippy as fook but if you do slip....
-
Very nice is that Terry. 8

Very nice, pedals rock :daumenhoch:

Been chatting to a few Mid school riders on the Museum FB page and they said they ran these levers and used the locker for stopping their bikes rolling when leaning against things. That's why I went with it bro :daumenhoch:

In the 90's any bike with those locking buttons would have failed scrutineering at a sanctioned race. They were considered a hazard, as were axels that stick out more than 10mm past the axle nut. Both rules were seldom enforced at a local level, but at Nationals they were often enforced. :daumenhoch:
It depends how fussy you want to get with your build, but on race bikes I always run levers without locking buttons, simply because BITD I wouldn't have been able to race with them on. :LolLolLolLol:
-
We used to cut the bottom flange off the buttons, et voila - a tech77 "lite"
And a spring in the face.
-
Very nice love a good old s&m :daumenhoch:

I fully understand that John and well pointed out :daumenhoch:
I wasn't too fussy, just wanted to be era correct. The guys I chat to on FB about Mid school never raced back then, just rode street and dirt etc etc. I just put the question out there one day about the lever being correct,
I won't be racing it for sure but it was perfect today for it's maiden voyage around my old home town for 7 and half hours ;) ;D
