Title: KOOLKAPS
Post by: Jt on September 25, 2014, 06:04 PM
What's the crack putting them on 24" new school tuffs.

Do they fit? Are they the same size? Etc

I have a black set I want to put silver ones on.

Thanks in advance

I melted them down and created something less horrible instead

24's have more spokes so the flanges dont line up with the marks in between like on 20's. If you know what I mean?

Yup. Makes sense.

So anyone know where I can get some for 24"s?

There's a couple of people that make them maybe they could do you a bespoke set.

Bear in mind you really need to get covers for the bit of plastic hub that's left exposed too.

Theres a bloke on facebook that makes the caps to cover the exposed plastic. I'll see if I can dig out a link to his page.

Didn't the originals have the plastic hubs anyway?  i think the only difference is the originals would've been loose ball rather than sealed bearings  ???

make sure you get ones that are specifically for 24in tuffs,  theres a little plastic lip where it meets the gold hub on mine that stops the caps fitting flush,  its only a couple of millimetres but enough for the cap to foul the cog on the rear....
