Afternoon radsters,
I'm just polishing my bike and where the decals were you can really see the difference . Any tips on how to get it back to glory or as close as.
Cheers

is it nickle plated ? looks dull for chrome, :-\ , if so just use a fine polish like Peek, and keep going over it ,
if its chrome
start with an abrasive polish Autosol is ok, do it a couple of times, then go to a finer polish, Peek, just a case of keep going over and over with the finer polish , chrome is a hard finish so it will take some work ,but be carefull with the Autosol it is possible to polish the chrome off all together if its thin to start with .

It is chrome bud but has had better days , cheers for the advice

Well I have been advised that it's cromo and nickel plated ...

if that's case, the finish under the sticker will be what to aim for , i thought it might be nickle, it has that slightly yellowish tint to it , but wasn't sure if it was just the photo, gently does it with fine polish then :daumenhoch: didn't twig it was the Thruster , always liked those :daumenhoch:

I never use Autosol, always Peek :)
I love Peek, btw it can also be used to polish out metal marks caused by a step ladder banging against your brand new toilet bowl ;)

I think I might have been the one who marked the bog tbh
My Polish advice was to use Peek on the mark (it does say on the tube what it can be used on but it's the first time I'd even considered using it for something other than BMX bits) he was very impressed I can tell you
Even more astounding was the revelation that Oven Pride can be used to clean ovens! There I was thinking it was just for stripping ano off brake calipers ::)
