Title: fatgoose completed. pic heavyish, bike surprisingly light
Post by: snoopy72 on October 25, 2014, 08:47 AM
Hi, it's finished , just needs a final clean, and outside for some proper photo's, weathers rubbish at the moment so hopefully next week going to take some decent pictures
Was considering fitting an 8 speed stermey archer hub but instead have concentrated on keeping the weight to a minimum.
Gearing is 39/19

Did you end up having a crank spindle made? Remember it being a bit of a problem

"There you go" I used standard mongoose bb , standard mongoose motomag used 6 balls per race, supergoose and teams used 9, I have used Tange 12 bearings per race.
When I took the photo I should have removed the sponge off the seat ::) it's a suede kashimax MX under the sponge.
i have the original team pedals (rat traps) they  also looked good but have reflectors , couldn't decide so went for the weight rather than look with the 81 XC Compes

The weathers not great so not had a chance to ride it yet,
The most important thing is to get the photo's done for the competition calendar, bmx museum build off 2015.
Once this is done then i'll try it out and get some wheelie shots .
Thanks for all the kind comments  :daumenhoch:

Hey John, loving this & just looking at it makes me want to ride it!  :4_17_5:
I wonder how it handles in the air ? Nice cushy landings i bet or bounce it out of the skateparks!
Where's the fooking plate though?!  :LolLolLolLol:
