Not attempted this yet, but looking at the seat clamp, the hole is a lot bigger than the frame of my TA.
has anyone already done this before ?
Do you wrap tape around the frame first ?

im sure billy and craig used cut up old inner tubes to take up the slack :daumenhoch:
-
the clamps on renthal crossbars are smaller
-ps they fit mini seat tubes
-mrd - micro stuff, that uses a uni without the shim

Yep . . . old inner tube should do the trick :daumenhoch:
Renthal clamps are no good as they're not hinged

RL osborn used to use the seat clamp trick see US bmx action january 1984 page 28 bottom of the carrera || review has a close up pic n explains that he uses tape too...

I think I just used insulating tape on mine, lots of it, then the seat clamp over :daumenhoch:

Thanks guys, i'll try the sticky tape

BITD i used the tape you put onto tennis raquet handles (it was towelling) :coolsmiley:

I ended up using a modern alternative.
I put some tape onto the inside of the seat clamp, then shut it up.
I then placed it on to the bench and filled it up with ... No more nails
This then game me a white rubbery material which i the cut to hold the bar.
perfect !
