Title: hello from kent
Post by: ju8tin on November 10, 2014, 05:22 PM
Hello everyone, ive been working in the cyclopark in gravesend fitting some drainage and it got me missing my youth so I went out and bought a bmx!-) im 31 and aint rode since I started driving about 12 years ago, last bike I rode was a fireblade I had earlier this year lol! Anyway I saw the pro bmx dirt track there and have wrangled a few mates up and the cyclopark guy we are dealing with has given us a free day there on saturday... gonna hurt ourselves I think!
Bought a gt race series 0.5 of ebay in good condition for 45 quid, was a steal right? Only weighs 11kg/24.6lb too...
Any other older bikers around on here?

welcome!

tbh you're a bit young compared to most of us on here, but then we make up for that by refusing to grow up

Well thats good, get some funny looks from my fellow builders when I tell em ive brought a bmx, hopeing to get some good moves before my 1 year old gets going, like the idea of taking him to some skateparks in a few years without looking like a right tool! I saw a little united balance bike on source yesterday! -)

Also will the maxxis dirt tyres be ok for some light park fun or will they be too slippy?

Cool that's what I was looking for tbh, I know my bikes hardly retro at a 2001 but wanted to find some like minded blokes!-) the late 90's is to me what the late 80's was to 40+ dudes... spent alot of time bmxing skateboarding and blading, building ramps, street riding ect....
So im one of the youngest.... whoop.
