Title: Suntour Slant stem ???

I just bought this gold Suntour stem off of a member on here. The original for sale thread has been updated & the original picture was from the top of the stem from memory.

Now it's arrived it looks a little odd, I've had LOTS of Suntour stems (they are one of my favourite parts to use on builds ) & i noticed n the advert that this stem had a Potts mod (which is fair enough) but the Stem is slanted ..

Ive never seen a slanted Suntour.. Did they make them & if so does anyone know what they came on ?

Apologies for the blurred image but you can clearly see the difference in the profile of the stem .

I thought i'd seen them on a few Kewies ... So whats the benefit of a slant stem ? I mean, what was it primarily designed for over a normal stem ?
