Hey guys,
I'm a newbie to the BMX scene and just wandering if a 20in frame is the standard adult size!?
Thanks

All my bikes are 20", and I'm 5'11", and for the type if riding I do (pub crawls) the size is fine.
A lot of the lads ride 24" cruisers though, so you can gain a bit more comfort, I suppose. :daumenhoch:

I'm 5 foot 8 ish and I started off like you with an old 20 inch bmx frame, it was alright for nipping to work and down to the shops but it was tiring after a while so bought myself a cruiser, 24 inch wheels and bigger frame. Now its a lot easier and its far more comfy if I sit down to pedal it. The one I bought was a Specialized P24. Welcome to the world of BMX by the way :welcome

as Dan says , most people are on 20 inch frames. ive a few 24 cruisers and they are much more comfy to ride .

If you mean 20" wheel size, yes! They make frames to suit all sizes at the moment.

20" wheels and 21" top tube ... winner :daumenhoch:

Cheers all, I'm 6ft so will need to find a frame to fit me, if I want the best of both worlds I.e. Cruising and possibly attempting some jumps would 20" be ok or better to go a bit bigger on wheels?
Sorry if I sound like a complete nubbins 😁

Whatever feels comfortable for you. Try 20" & 26".
You may find that you will want both depending on your mood.

More than welcome to have a go on my 24 inch cruiser if you're local, would give you an idea, also got a 20 inch haro to compare

if you're looking at a 20" BMX then you'll want something with at least 20.75" to 21" to make it feel roomy enough
i'm 6' 2" and have a 21" top tube frame :daumenhoch:

Brent and Brian Patterson are both over 6 feet tall.
