Title: need a good pumping
Post by: chubby on January 27, 2015, 10:48 PM
Hiya kids
All these fookin bmx things have tyres this means lots of blowing up is sometimes required.
Fancy one of them track pump things with a gauge on & a quick bit of research has confused me even more.
any of you fellas got some recommendations ???
want something half decent but don't wanna spend more than 20-25 quid

Cheers all  :daumenhoch:

I bought one fron argos a while ago, less than a tenner and never let me down ( ::)) even used it for car tyres, so no need to spend big :daumenhoch:

funnily enough that was my first idea as argos is next to work. Read the reviews (always a mistake) & decided trying to fart them up would be easier  :LolLolLolLol:

bought my track pump from aldi about 3-4 years ago. think it was 5 or 6 quid and still going strong. the only thing i dont like about it is when trying to pump my tyres up to 100psi, it sometimes seems to kick back a bit and can be quite hard work after it reaches about 80psi. think i still prefer my 20 year old halfords footpump.  :daumenhoch:

I just bought one of these from Halfords (rip off merchants I know!), but it's still going strong after 6 years. Easy and tight connection on the valve, yet quick and easy to remove without losing any tyre pressure. It has a fixed double adapter end for schrader and presta valves

what about a cheap compressor to plug in the car fag lighter? i find the track pumps hard work after about 50 psi, tend to use a foot pump over the track pump usually, but favour the compressor. much easier on my crap knees.
