..........thought a bike, component, manufacturer was rubbish but when you actually used it/them they changed your mind on the matter?
For me it was CW moustache handlebars. Way back then I hated the damn things, just the look of them would make me throw up my Findus crispy pancake!
But this time around I fitted a set to a CW build, rode them and was won over immediately.
What about you?

Same, hated CW bars until I rode a bike with them and remember thing Wow!

Believe it or not the first time I saw BMXs in the flesh I thought they looked a bit small. I'd been offroading and jumping on my Grifter for a couple of years I think and I was actually looking at something bigger like a Bomber. First time I rode my Falcon Pro Sigma changed my mind though ;)

new skool plastic pedals .

...and I didn't like the look of low profile New Skool tyres, on dryish firm surfaces they are the nuts :daumenhoch:

It's a leap of faith going to new school tyres from years of Comp IIIs too :LolLolLolLol:

Always thought CW bars rocked. For me it was mushies, never like them BITD but find them strangely comfortable now...

BITD I never got the whole racing, race bike thing at all. I was freestyle bikes, crazy colours and gadgets all the way... race bikes all looked the same to me... all chrome, wire wheels, comp IIIs, same geometry etc.....
...now after several MKs and goes on real tracks I'm falling in love with them...
I can't wait to finish my GHP and whizz it round a track.....I may even do a Robbo build next! :daumenhoch:
