Title: Sealed Metal Skyway Hubs BITD
Post by: meerkat333 on February 21, 2015, 11:32 AM
Didnt know if this was the correct section but here goes
I Have just dug out a pair of blue tuff II's out the shed, they dont have the metal hubs in them,
BITD i seem to remember that a company made replacement sealed hubs for skyways, does anyone have any pics of what they looked like or an advert , i am able to make my own but i need to copy what they looked like, if not i will just make mine look cool and shinny :)
Or for the mean time does anyone know of someone selling front and rear hubs for sale that i can use quickly for the time being.
thanks :)

Will be interested to see them if you do make some.

I got hold of some acorn hubs and was going to fit them to skyways but they were too wide, wouldn't have been able to get the wheel in the drops, spacing of the bolts seemed to be the same though.

I met a member from Birmingham area at MK last year who said he had made some of these.

yes Mr rodriguez, i did the same, i was thinking about machining the tuff wheel down in the centre to give the correct width but didnt want to ruin a decent pair of tuffs and also was worried it would effect the strength of the tuff,
will post some pics when i can sneak making them in at work ;) found some cheap axles on ebay that would work so will start them soon (promise !!)
