Title: Front brake set up
Post by: gary67 on February 28, 2015, 10:36 AM: Was wondering what front brake caliper to put on my Standard Tao. A ad990, Acs boa, Bulldog or a Nippon like Osicka ran

it's fairly easy to do a twin front brake with an ad990-would like to see that setup with a nippon 8)

Yes they were after the Nippon. They were a low end brake from DC and I wouldn't recommend anyone looking for performance use one instead of a Nippon. :daumenhoch:

I have a Nippon on my Morales but I'm switching it out for a 990 with adapter.

There must have been some conspiracy going on in the late 80's / early 90's for companies not putting u-brakes up front...
It's curious that the 88 Haro trials bike had 990's up front and they only started putting them on freestyle bikes in 96 or 97...
