Title: Sticker Anxiety
Post by: lockie86 on March 04, 2015, 08:35 PM: Just got some amazing stickers done by Del! Bit scared to put them on and cock them up tho, getting them bubbled or wonky! Any advice on the form anywhere dudes?

Any bubbles can be hair dryered :daumenhoch:

Not that much that it foams everywhere but no it won't stop it sticking. Washing up liquid yes.

so soapy water ok on chrome too, not gonna create surface rust under the sticker or something? haha. guess not but worth asking!

Are you putting chrome stickers on a chrome frame or clear ones. If they are clear you need to avoid as much as is humanly possible getting fingerprints on the glue of the sticker as it will show for ever more! Chrome stickers are much more user friendly but tend to be a pain if not placed correctly first time.

Here's a thought. How careful do you think the Asian on minimum wage placed the original stickers in a massed produced factory?

Did these the other week, just make sure you take your time (and keep your cat out of the way if you have one, or two or three like i do) ;D

1) those kids in the factory have nimble fingers
2) and probably do 1000s a day, so are good at it
2) if they weren't up to scratch then they get the :knuppel2:

It's a downtube sticker that works for both sides of frame so just worried about getting it on wonky!

I've also wrapped the downtube with masking tape to give me a straight edge to place the decal against to combat wonkiness :LolLolLolLol:
