Title: Restoring Motomags...
Post by: bigfatolly on March 09, 2015, 11:49 PM
Has anyone ever managed to replace a piece of webbing or repaired a crack on a set of Motomags?
Looking to get a set but the cheaper ones need a bit of resto,I know they are made of strange metal but is it able to be welded?
Also can they be powder coated?

If you are powder coating them it's not much of a problem to get some Ali cut and welded in place but if you want the original finish its going to be difficult without a few spare bits of webbing. You could experiment with different shot media or even oven pride on new Ali to get that slight cast look about them.
