Title: Ashtabula cranks - what years?

See above.  What years were the "raw" finish cranks made and fitted....? Ta

The chemical black cranks were generally fitted on low end bikes up to about 1981, but very probably were made before Bmx was even heard of on American bikes like shwinn....  :)

They are mostly date stamped in the centre Bert,
 82 on were mongoose takagi made with mongoose stamped in the sides. plain ashtabula cranks on early scwhinn then when mongoose used them as well as webco they 76-80 there were stamped versions in the arms , all 28 tpi thread

I was looking at a set of mini cranks on t'ebay, more for aesthetics to be honest.
