I still hate you. Not really - without sounding like the first 10 seconds of a Slick Rick track (skipping), that is frikkin aceballs, and a once in a lifetime survivor that is Ed.

Doesn't get more of a time capsule that. I've dug up less kosher stuff  :daumenhoch:

I think I'm going with Betty, MidschoolJon and Dannywhac and going to leave it pretty much as is ... even though in the cold light of day it is proper shot!

Will take a load more pics in a bit ... apparently it was all mint 5 years ago ... but then had to be left in a shed .... and the chrome on the frame has crumbled  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Deffo going to have a 'sympathetic' resto tho... rather than a full 'mint' job... as when I do that they soon bore me and a sell em

Deffo the last bike I'm buying  :P

Steve G. said this one was a 94 Kev ...

"Ed, the original owner of that was aaron webb , bought on the 15.11.94 . Good luck with the project"

but the guy I bought it off got it second hand from RS in Leicester mid 94 so Steve might be a bit out on that.

Agreed on the seat ... he had just stuck the tyre on to get it rolling ...  :daumenhoch:

Lovely, very lovely, apart from the handlebars, which are a personal dislike thing.
The bike and the condition are aceballs though Ed, I love that just the way it is,  middle finger chic :daumenhoch:

Flakey very flakey, But a bath would get rid of the brown stuff, Probably make the flakes fall off. But then so would washing it :LolLolLolLol:
Could use a rust neutraliser, Think that normally turns the rust black buts stops further rusting.

Cracking pick up Ed, pity about the nasty bits, I'd go down the route your thinking about, maybe citric acid bath and see how it turns out be a real shame to lose the stickers.

Normally I'm 100% behind a sympathetic resto but sometimes it's just too far gone and corrosion stops for no man.

Cool ride  :daumenhoch: I'd leave it as it is or get rid of the rust & powder it, chrome is shot by the looks of it!
Shame they were never done with a normal seat tube though......

Citric bath completed ... lots of chrome missing but its staying as it is  :daumenhoch:

got myself some PQR-15 Metal prep ( removes rust and coats with Zinc phosphate ) to go over the bad bits ... then need some clear PQR-15 Rust preventative coating to finish it off ... so gonna slap that on and get it rebuilt  :daumenhoch:

Then I'm taking it to every park meet to see who can get 'Best trick on a a Zima'  :daumenhoch:
