T'was a nice, sunny albeit windy day over here today, so I thought I'd blow away the cobwebs and take the Laserlite out for a spin. Both bike and rider were creaking a bit but made it back home in one piece. Here are a few random pics of the Kuwi in its home setting:-

Excellent mate, sweet Kuwie. :coolsmiley:
Do any of those vending machines have used panties in, or is that an urban myth?

Was just about to ask the same question lol.
Seriously though,I love the vending machines everywhere, some unusual looking drinks in there, especially the beer can sized coke!
Love the Kuwie by the way !!

Top day out !

Thanks for all the comments guys! :)
Yeah, Japan is definitely worth a visit - a nice mix of old and new, and the weird and wonderful, including those panty-selling vending machines! Apparently they did used to exist, and I guess may still be found in a love hotel or one of the less salubrious areas of Tokyo, but I think they're more likely to sell new rather than used ones. That said, I know someone who used to sell her used panties online!! ;D
Although up and running, the Laserlite's not quite finished - are they ever?!? It's due a replacement freewheel, with another chainwheel set-up and some bars waiting for it back in Blighty, so hopefully it'll be finally done in the Autumn. In the meantime I've got the Free Agent build to keep me busy! :daumenhoch:

Cool pics :daumenhoch:
I'm over there myself next month and have already lined up a few rides. Can't wait :)

Where are you going and how long are you over for? PM me if you want to meet up for a beer and/or check out a few old school bike shops?
I had to pop out to the shops yesterday but the weather wasn't suitable for a racing thoroughbred, so I took the girlfriend's bike instead!

Nice Kuwi . I agree with Glen , liking the splash of Red on it :coolsmiley:
-
...and in its natural domain, too :daumenhoch: cool bike

Thanks for the comments guys. I don't won't to overdo the red but have a faded red chainring that I want to try, so will post some updated pics when that (and the other stuff) is done. :daumenhoch:

Osaka - the home of Kuwahara! If you happen to be in Tokyo on Sun 17th May then you'll be able to go to this year's Happy Bike Meeting - the best old school event of the year!! Here are my pics from last year:- http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,174538.0.html
& if you're into your VWs, I think there's also a VW event going on in another part of Tokyo on the Sat, so you could make a weekend of it! :D I'll hopefully be going to both so will post some more pics.
-
Great pictures :daumenhoch: I must get my rider sorted although it wont look as good as yours and I definately don't have the nice back drops like you have :coolsmiley:

Excellent! There's also a skate/bmx park in the same area as the old school event so the kid can go over there to play with his Subrosa and you can hang out where the real bikes are! :daumenhoch:
PM me nearer the time and I can give you more info and arrange meeting times and places, etc. Ian ("Natsukashi") may also be around so you can meet 2 Japan-based Radsters! :)
-
Cool :daumenhoch:

Nice to see some pictures in a different setting :daumenhoch:

Thanks!

Not too far from Yamato and Route 246 then. If you follow the 246 to you'll end up near Komazawa Park for the Happy Bike Meeting, plus you'll also pass me en route as I live right by it!
