Post by: Andy68 on April 20, 2015, 05:44 PM
Never had this before, I always like my set up to stop me on a sixpence and yes I'm pulling the lever hard!!! Cable is new, Weinmann, DC blocks and a 7C. Ive cleaned the blocks & rim, wire wool'd the fooker, cleaned again and still no stopping power! It worked great with the previous 7X fitted. Blocks coat up straight away........ sensible answer anyone??  >:( ???

Pad may look like it's touching the whole rim but it's probably only touching 1/5 giving poor braking so I would give it time to bed in to the 7c rim.
I would remove the pad and in a circular motion rub it over a p120 sand disc on a flat surface just enough to rough it up .

Well I fookin give up!!! Off again, sanded, cleaned, lined up etc etc and no grip at all with blocks flush on surface! Reckon the rim has turned to mush! Different rear wheel tried again and stops instantly.............  "nono" "nono"  :crazy2:
