Probably been posted before but the 'age' thread & Wunder's eBay fortune thread on here just got me thinking again about this hobby.
How long will it last? When do we call it a day? When will the bubble burst for those in it for the money & when's the time to sell? Will the 90's kids carry this on or will we just have expensive piles of metal to hang our smalls on? Bikes that are too nice or rare to ride, framesets that can't be built in case they're marked, I don't really get it but that's just my opinion. I'm a BMX tramp!! Surely the value can't keep going up?
I've done Nottingham, Birmingham & York rideouts so far this yr and must say I fookin love it more than ever. :daumenhoch: Y'all a great bunch. :daumenhoch:
Fook knows what that was about, just typed what was going round my stoopid head!!! :crazy2:

Often rolled it around me own bonce too.
My take is: It is what it is.
This year seems bigger and better than any other.
Lets hope when it does burst I'm not asleep, I hate being woken up!

It will probably end for me when im the last one on here and every other fooker is on Facebook ::) :D
To be honest , i aint bothered if the bubble burst tomorrow . Enjoyed every minute of it , met some great lads, many of whom are now good mates . Had some great days/weekends out on the rides/MK etc . I don't look at my bikes as an investment , its an interest to me and what will be will be :)

It's not stopping for me, it nearly did a few times, but it's the only hobby i have now.
I'm with Joff, it's about making friends and good memories, not money. :daumenhoch:

Hahaha
I'll still be here Joffy tots
Seeing pics of Brian curtis riding on a track at the weekend IN HIS 70s made me realise I don't give a fook how old I get, as long as I can still pedal

I have heard the old 'when will the bubble burst' question for the last 8 years it started around the time Aero Reflex NOS frame and forks were a £50 & NOS MX1000's were £40 for a full set.
It will never end.. ever. BMX has been here for 40+ years and going nowhere. Buy now as the prices are still going up.

Never for me.
Love it.
Have done since my Grandad bought me my first Action Bike mag in 82, when I never even new what BMX was lol
Not bothered if the value drops out, as said above, I have a great bunch of mates from here, and had some amazing laughs along the way.
The original rides / Bournmouth / MK was a handful of people, and if it ends up like that again, then so be it

That's good enough for me chaps and tbh as I expected from you lot. :4_17_5: :daumenhoch:
I've met a cracking lot along the way, in fact I don't think I'd see any fooker if it wasn't for old school BMX.
Grandads wearing vans & rolling up in adapted vehicles is the future......... ;)

This is true. :) Some of us buy BMX's just because we remember them from the 80s & 90s. I think of BMX like classic cars. Some of us buy and own old Mini's, Escort's, Merc's or E-types (I don't :() just because they are old and they look good. But we have never owned them before now. So in 10, 20, 30 years people will still say I'd love an old BMX because they look so cool 8) and buy one. Prices will go up and down, just like classic cars. Concourse or original condition will all have a value. You never know Old School bike shops may start to appear, like classic car dealers. Nothing will be worthless. :daumenhoch:

The bubble bursting wouldn't be a bad thing.. It'll be like a cleansing and get rid of the muggy c**ts.. ;)

I think if the bubble burst it would be a blessing ... It's not about the money .... It's always been about the bikes, the banter and the brotherhood of Rad ... I wouldn't care if it was just me and parts were peanuts ...
Every year though it gets bigger and more popular ...
... Let's just enjoy the ride and live it to the full ... It's bloody cool this :radbmxsmilie: thing isn't it ? 8)
