So how come Ame unitron repops are £25+ a pair here, when I've seen the Aussies selling at $25 a pair? Bearing in mind it's nearly $2 to the £, that's half the price.
So what gives?
-
Yeah it winds me up too, it's the same in the states something selling there for $300 is £300 here.
-
Yeah but at least we don't have to put up with their shitty weather, absurd property prices and cost of living
:teef:

All depends where you go bud. Would say the average around here is £3 ish , but can get a pint for £1.99 in places :daumenhoch:

has that poor woman woken up yet Jono?

With the exception of fuel, the Aussies pay way more than us for most things, which is why I thought it strange that the Ames were half the price we are paying. Is the manufacturer setting different prices for different regions, or are our outlets making a massive mark up?
-
a lot of Americans just don't understand the concept of different currencies being worth different amounts
-
Who gives a shit? !!
Just listen to Over The Hills & Far Away by Led Zeppelin & you'll feel better.

Cheers! I remember it being somewhere between 2 and 3 squid a pint when I was last back 4 years, so no big changes there. By way of comparison a beer over here (Japan) costs an average of 500Yen (about £2.60) though the glasses are usually smaller than a pint and come with a beer head of an inch or more!! Things can get a lot more expensive in Tokyo, but then I guess that's the same for London. All this is making me thirsty! :D

I went out for a beer Friday night in Perth CBD and paid $14aud for a pint of Heineken , that's about £7 a pint. There's plenty more expensive items so getting cheap A'MES is fine with me :LolLolLolLol:
