Can't remember the last time I posted a build here so figure it's time to share this on still the UK's number 1 BMX site...
This is one of 2 known Brown 1980 PK Rippers, considered by SE collectors as one of the most desirable and rarest colours.
As for the parts they're all original finish.
Oakley 1 grips
Takagi MX Crank
SE Innovation fork
First Gen SE Powerwings
Un Stamped Tuff Neck
Excalibur clamp
Team Products Lever
Etc etc

That is... the business. :slayer:

Crappy photos don't do it justice it's and absolutely cracking survivor

Great bike ash love the faded anno tuf neck I love the patina on older parts . A lot would want to polish the f00k out of it but now I like seeing these parts aged
-

-

This is the type of build that I don't do but really love - these are the bikes you want to see at shows and enjoy looking at, so much more interesting than the repowdercoated / nos parts (and that's what I build?!). These bikes take me back to when I first discovered BMX. Really brings it all back that the bikes were for kids who couldn't afford motorbikes and the bikes were really pedal powered versions!
Great build.

Also meant to say the brake wear on the rear rim versus the finished front rim also makes it look so much like racer..
-
Very good!
-
Just seen this mate .. Absolutely incredible build ... Love it ! "wantit"
Lovin' da brown ! :smitten:
-
Yummy! "wantit"

Lots of love for this over the various pages and rightly so. :smitten:
I agree with what's been said, survivors show history and they don't need to be over polished or freshly powdered to be a great show bike. MK has the best bikes on display to be see anywhere and the majority are perfectly clean and as good as new which is fantastic, for me I'd like to see more survivors in the shows now :4_17_5:
