Title: Peregrine DMR Axle Swap - Help Needed
Post by: Sibomb on June 16, 2015, 01:48 PM
Afternoon people of Rad  :slayer:

I have a set of peregrine pedals 1/2 axles and want to do the swap to some 9/16s, been told that you can switch using DMR axles, but there are 3 different versions on the site below, V12 Version 1, V12 Version 2 and a set called Vault

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/dmr-replacement-axle-kit/rp-prod122923

Anyone help with which set can be used and any modifcations that need to make for them to fit properly

Much Appreciated

Si

I've got a set of V12 and V8s and some V12 bearings. I'm guessing you are after sealed bearings as your looking at Vaults and V12s. If you want some pics and measurements LMK

Yeah the perrys are the sealed versions

So whats the difference between the DMR axles, or will any of them work with Modification, someone told me they just need to be shortend slightly and the end thread made longer to come further down the axle? But in honesty I have no idea!!!

I've no idea of the difference, Never stripped either down. Have you got any pics of the perry axle?
V8's are the loose ball version and V12's are the sealed version.

I stripped the axle out of a V12 today, Was expecting bearings at both ends, But the only bearing is at the outer end.
