I need to oven pride some black blocks to get the black off ....
will I need to take the rubber of the brake pads out first or can I leave it in ... they are red uns :-)
I thank you.
-
Ed, do you mean you have black coloured brake black sleeves, and wondering if you should remove the pad part before stripping with Oven Pride?
What pads are they?
If you have an old basting brush, or toothbrush, just dab it on the part needing stripping buddy :daumenhoch:

They are 90s Mathauser pads .... red pads with black metals rears :daumenhoch:
I want them to be raw silver :-)
-
leave them as they are and dont spoil them :crazy2:
-
If the pads come out and go in easy, take them out. Oven pride shouldn't affect the rubber but it is old and might change the colour/appearance.

leave them as they are and dont spoil them :crazy2:
not gonna spoil them Paul ... they came in silver and black ... need silver on my auburn tho
its the final piece I've wated for ages

I haven't used oven pride to strip anno for awhile now. Started using caustic soda as advised by SBD. Fumes are potent though
-
Aren't they painted rather than anno?
