Title: Oven pride and rubber
Post by: ED209 on June 28, 2015, 08:25 PM: I need to oven pride some black blocks to get the black off ....

will I need to take the rubber of the brake pads out first or can I leave it in ... they are red uns :-)

What pads are they?

If you have an old basting brush, or toothbrush, just dab it on the part needing stripping buddy :daumenhoch:

I want them to be raw silver :-)

Post by: Gary72 on June 28, 2015, 08:59 PM: If the pads come out and go in easy, take them out. Oven pride shouldn't affect the rubber but it is old and might change the colour/appearance.

not gonna spoil them Paul ... they came in silver and black ... need silver on my auburn tho

its the final piece I've wated for ages :angel:

Post by: Gary72 on June 28, 2015, 09:20 PM: I haven't used oven pride to strip anno for awhile now. Started using caustic soda as advised by SBD. Fumes are potent though :shocked:
