Hi can anyone help trm freestyle I'm on a rebuild what are the original brakes for the bike it was 30 year's ago since I rode this bike and I swoped bits from all other bikes ie mongoose and dimond back . Thanks sideshowbob.

Most popular brakes for this era would have been Dia-Compe MX1000 or 900's. Or a copy of the said brakes :)
-
As above these only came as framesets not complete bikes so the brakes which were put on was what was about around 1984 so mx1000/mx900 as said above copies of these were used a lot bitd,

MX 1000s are what you need.900s,901s or 880s dont really have enough reach.
-
MX 1000s are the preferred choice but 880/901s will work
-
Did you win the frameset that was on ebay recently?
I was watching that, very good price for a v rare frame. ;)
