Do you want an honest answer?
-
McPlop of the glenn
-
BE SERIOUS! Want to know for sure.
-
i like it
and with the front drum it will be an endo machine
-
Rare or not?
-
Home made by the looks of it, so more unique than rare!
-
maybe ask the US guys over at vintagebmx. they have more springer knowledge.
pre BMX over here, we had grifters >:(
-
looks like an early to mid seventies yamaha bmx, check out some bmx history on the net, if its an original it will be worth something, i like the mcplop quote ;D
-
the front lever on the wrong side suggests a motorcycle manufacturer
-
the Grifter! couldn't have been any more bendy if it was made out of rubber :D
and those grips! how hard did they think our little hands were ;D
-
ah yes
the ribbed grips
the built in handlebar pad
the racer forks
the 50kg back wheel
the twin downtubes
raleigh's marketing team saw what was going down in the states and just knew that they could go the one better
-
i thought the spot welded (soldered) frame was exceptional as were the cotter pin cranks!
them boys at raleigh certainly had the yanks beat ::) ;D
-
racer cranks
built in plastic sprocket grindwheel (?)
3 SPEEDS ;D
and called "grifter". sounds like a trouser accident
