Title: Old school needs to learn modern freestyle as missed out
Post by: elpsycho43 on August 18, 2015, 09:29 PM
Hi. I am not new new to bmx but just as it got good I became unwell which has kept me off bmx bikes for over 20 years . The upshot of this is I am a 43 year old who weghs sixteen stone who desperately wants to learn to freestyle again . My main problem is my self confidence so I was just wondering if there were any other people out there who are in similar shoes to me . Hope to get some replies

The northern monkeys have regular ramp nights , or at least they did before I moved . Head along to one and meet the lads , I guarantee you will have a blast ! Always someone on hand to give a little coaching to help you along the way .

Dude.

We're all old fat knackers!

I hadn't raced for 30 years (some wonder if I've ever raced at all). Now I'm a regular at the local track on a Thursday night and I've even bought a new school race bike.

This morning I was 15 st 10 lb.

fook everybody else, get out and ride  :daumenhoch:

I've got gosport bmx track down the road and southsea skatepark not too far and haven't hit either up yet  :(

Thanks for all the advice . I am situated in Essex , and my regular stomping cround before I had to stop was Rom Skatepark . I just worry I will look like a fat old git on a kids bike , and not be any good at freestyle as it is today . Any riders who just want to chat then just send me a message I would love to learn more about my local scene
