Title: To powder or not to powder?
Post by: kowalski74 on August 23, 2015, 11:11 AM
Firstly forgive me if this doesn't come out great, it's my first go at tapatalk!

Right, after a long break from the rad and bmx building, and having sold all my 'higher end' builds I am left with a 1983 redline pl20(it's just come out of the wardrobe for the first time in 5 years!)
And yes I know the decals are an 85, I just prefer them!
oh and I know the seat guts are the wrong way round  ::)

or better pics near the bottom of this page

Anyway most of the components are mint, bar the frame/forks which although are probably 8/10, still bug me a bit!
My question is simply this,  do I have it powdered white so it's a total show pony or shall I leave it well alone and do another build(the wife will flip!)

Please advise

I remember that build, I'd leave it original  :daumenhoch:

At the end of the day it is your bike to do what you want with.

However, if you powdercoat it I will ban you from the site  :LolLolLolLol:

Right so a fairly mixed response then  ::)

Ok due to this I am now on the hunt for a white prostyler or similar.
I need all your full names and contact numbers
so when a second build turns up, and the mrs hits the fookin roof, she can vent on you guys too.

You've only got yourselves to blame!!

That's what I'm talking about!! Still undecided on the build, I'd love one of those, if not the only stipulation is it needs to be
White!
