Hello, my name is James and I'm from Winnipeg, Canada. I came across this forum while doing some research on my mid 80's Kuwahara Apollo. It's neon yellow and I have owned it since I was 12-13 years old. It's sat for quite along time but now I want to get it in riding condition again. I hope to learn a little about my bike and see all the other great bmx bikes that members have and are building.

Here's a pick from last year. I've picked up a few different sets of rims but this is it with the original araya's.

Welcome and congrats on still having your childhood bike!! & a Kuwi at that!
I really like the faded paintwork on that. In any case think carefully before you strip it off! I remember seeing a post somewhere (maybe over on the BMX Museum) about someone who managed to resurrect the old, faded, yellow paintwork on a frame. I'll see if I can find it, as their method may help you to save yours, if that's the way you go with it. :daumenhoch:
