Title: RAD Generosity at it's best!
Post by: pickle on September 03, 2015, 07:05 PM
So MK Raffle gets drawn and Steve Animal wins one of the new school FBM bikes, he then gives it to Jaymz's lad Junior who'd worked really hard all weekend doing bits n bobs.

Now i'd had my eye on one of these (not for me i hasten to add but i will come onto that in a mo) normally if our tickets come out we just say pick again, we always buy tickets but it's to support the event more than anything else.

Anyway i had my eye on one for a family who live opposite to me, they have three girls who love bikes and are always riding up and down the road playing but they only have two bikes and they're not great either......so if i'd won one i was going to give it to them.

Anyway Jay was pretty overwhelmed by Steves generosity but then wondered how the hell he was going to fit it in the car?? Junior had been trying to sell his Haro race bike all weekend but unfortunately hadn't managed it, so Jay said to repay the generosity from Steve and find someone to give the Haro to, well i asked if he wouldn't mind if I gave it to the family over the road from me? and Jay and more importantly, Junior agreed!

Well i gave it a good clean up and a service then added a few new pink bits to girlie it up a little.......I'm just waiting on a new seat post to arrive and it'll be finished.

I asked their dad if he would like it and he was speachless!!  he said that his eldest girl will love it and their bikes are too small for her.....he couldn't believe that we as a site would be so generous.

So here it is so far..........HUGE thanks to Jaymz and to Junior  :4_17_5:

I've loved doing guys, i was made up by Steve's and Jaymz/Juniors generosity and their dad was close to tears when i showed him the bike.  I should have it done by the weekend so i can let them have it  :daumenhoch:

I have felt the rad love before, a mate died and left his son lost, so with some rad love we got him a new bike, he was blown away and more than anything it put a smile on my mates mum and dads face.

Long live rad

Top bombing by three of the best; kudos to Animal, Jaymz and Pickle.  Like Quad I too have felt the Rad love for my late sisters son, my nephew whose bike got stolen and the lads chipped to replace, he still has it today!

One of the reasons why I love this site; the people!

Heres the mad dude of RADBMX . Mad as a box of frogs  :crazy2:

First off I'd like to say top man Pickle  :daumenhoch:

Now I'd like to say thank you to everybody on the site  :4_17_5: You all rock  ;)

Four years ago on the 3rd of September I lost my close friend Simon known to you as Cupid Stunt  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( Still busts me up now  :(

This site kept me together as best it could through all my great friends I met on here  :daumenhoch: You also paid for his funeral through your mighty fine generosity. Something his family could ill afford so your all legends for that  :4_17_5: Bike of the month etc reminds me off him every time I come on here  :coolsmiley:

I've always been a bit ecentric and different and mainly loved for it I hope .

Here's the but  ::) I have had mental health issues for some years  :knuppel2: I had depression diagnosed and now have it under more control . I'm bordering on bi-polar but thank fook I'm not as it's bad enough as it is  :uglystupid2: Getting a new job and having the balls to walk away from my bullying old boss was the best thing I ever had the guts to finally do .

I hope I have given as much back to Rad as I take over the years . I have helped so many of you realize you dreams by restoring you wrecked bits  :2funny:

Supporting this site is the most important thing in my book as it gives us an out in life . Don't forget that when your cruising facebook . No site and support no MK  :D

To the point now  :LolLolLolLol: I always buy loads of raffle tickets and even wang in a few prizes for the pot . When I won said bike I was going to chuck it back in as many of us do on the day as we don't need the stuff. My first thought when I won the bike was shock but it soon turned to a thought process of who really deserves this . The kid Jaymz junior came top as he put so much into MK and it made me feel so great giving something back to the community I so highly value .

Oh and yes there was a lot of RAD love at the end on the Sunday  ::) U know who you are .

 :radbmxsmilie: Rocks end of  :4_17_5:
