Title: Steve Geall's first production sliding post Zima ... all done 8-)
Post by: ED209 on September 06, 2015, 06:38 PM
All finished ... with massive thanks to Olly Hall, Skidmark Sen, Rob Burke, Johann Emerbmx, Jon Cong Barnett, S&M Alex, Geoff Cain, John Pooch, Nosepickben  :4_17_5:

Also thanks to Dannywhac, Rob Pickle & MidschoolJon for the inspiration to build.

Finally thanks to Mark Hepworth from Leicester from selling me his personal Zima, & Rich Chubby for buying it so I could get this one.

...oh and Phil 'Arthur Negis' Sawzall for letting me put it in his 'Antiques Roadshow' UK tent at MK ... and for actually following me round taking the piss as he was entertaining himself  :surprise:

You hear it all the time but this is my last 'all out' build  8) gonna be sticking to rider builds from now on  :daumenhoch:

Thanks chaps ... yep this is a keeper  :)

It may well get a complete make over if I can get any pics from the original owner Rob or from Steve himself ... then I'd redo it as it was back in 95  :) but for now ... its dun  :smitten:

Rob Ridge drilled them out to take a 10mm bolt so they were stronger and got sealed bearings to fit as well :-)

Are you sure it's the first sliding post ? Can't quite read the stamped number, but think it says 41 , My friend had a sliding post, number 38

Yeah I'm 4retty sure  8)

I've s4oke to Steve about it as well and this was his frame ( hence the SG stam4 ). Olly has the first 4rototype frame and this was the first 4roduction one.
