Post by: Dannywhac on September 09, 2015, 10:05 AM
Oooh yeah - the Warpig's gotta weigh in pretty damn heavy  :daumenhoch:

One of the early Eastern frames has to as well.

Post by: fugazi on September 09, 2015, 10:25 AM
The condor is up there as well, the seatstays are bigger than a lot of frames downtubes   :LolLolLolLol:
Yeah, one of those eastern Hercules would be a contender I'd think! Rare as well, has anybody got one?

me and two bob built a heavy bike for ROM Jam a few years back, it was part of the comp and the best trick won a new school super light weight front wheel that Stodgy donated

it was based off an old HARO frame like mirra 540, and by the time we got it loaded up I think it was well over 60 lbs

it was a beast of a bike

we had intended to fill the pegs with concrete to get some extra weight but everyone was already struggling, no one managed a tailwhip and I think a back flip was the winning trick

seat high
bars forward
and every extra add on possible lol

my old lengthy was a beast, thinking of rebuilding it but not for a while as the frames cracked. got g sport forks and stem for it that weigh about the same as a new school frame. also built some 95s for it, and the pegs are huge thick steel.

Just sorting rear wheel for my AOD. Naked wheel came in at 3lbs, Dressed with rim tape, inner tube and Primo Wall tyre 5lbs 2oz.
Add the Full Fat ACS 3/16 freewheel and it comes in at 5lb 8oz's
Reckon if I put the original axle back that hasn't been machined with 10mm flats it will add a couple more ounce's ::)

I've not weighed it but my Hoffman Flash is incredibly heavy for a race bike, I know I have 48 spoke wheels on it, can't imagine they make much difference!

Those Taiwan made Flash's weigh a ton. I received a pro model as part of a trade and couldn't believe it (and now understand exactly why Hoffmans race program never survived).  :LolLolLolLol:
