Nice work. :daumenhoch:

They look great. How did you get the black writing? Paint/marker pen, then lighty sand over the top?
-
They look sweet. Im doing a set too How did you do it? :daumenhoch:
-
With Loreal Peroxid Creme 12% and i use one 100Watt ligt for UV, its take 4 days with this creme and UV light
-
They look great. I need a set of white Buffs for a little build I'm doing.
-
They look great bud..
Did you give them a light going over with wet and dry before adding the cream..
Did you use a proper UV light source .
Planning on doing the same with a set of Mike buffs..
Cheers .. :daumenhoch: :
-
They look very nice! How is the surface after the peroxide? is it rough or smooth?? :daumenhoch:
-
The black writing looks like original to me as it was mint on the original finish don't know what peroxide does in the black but it doesn't look touched or if it is he has done a cracking job
-
Had a look for Loreal Peroxide Cream 12%..
There are many types..
You haven't a pic or a link to get please bud.. :daumenhoch:
Did you wrap it in cling film?
-
Cracking job on those but weren't mike Buffs off white from new?

Yes you are correct..
Got three sets one set are off white but the rest are yellow from age..
Just google this cream fix and it works a treat.. :daumenhoch:
-
Buff signature series were ivory from new.
They look superb though. You should do a 'how to' on the restoration :daumenhoch:
-
Could add a bit of blond To the mix... :LolLolLolLol:
-
tell us more about the light :daumenhoch:
they were never white mind, not buffs
however z rims did come in minty white :daumenhoch:
-
i make one photo from the light i use, i only clean the rims with water and than i use the peroxid :) this is it.

Top work mate... They look brilliant !
The off white debate raises the old resto question of do you restore something so that it's more clean/blingy or new looking than it ever was bitd....
Some of our builds are immaculate and perfect ... I'm sure as a kid you didn't notice the odd imperfection... You were just excited to have it!
-
thanks mate :)) it's nice to hear that :daumenhoch:
-
They look the dogs dangly bits bud.. 8)
Cannot wait to start on my two sets..
I just bought this..
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261987421084?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=560791677953&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
So..
You did a Light clean with water..
Then applied the cream with a tooth brush..
Did you wrap it in cling film?
And this light is it a special UV lamp or a uva bulb or leave in the sun..(if we get any ::) )
I have googled this but any detailed help would be helpfull.. :daumenhoch:
Cheers..
-
yes i use one normal lamp with 150WATT
