Can any one help me put a year to my Ammaco freestyler limited edition lll .I've just recently Purchased and have started my first restoration. I've received it back from the power coaters and off to a good start but the more research I do the more deadens I come across to finding out its true age. The guy I bought it of said it was a late 80's/ early 90's BMX . But after constantly trawling the net I keep hitting a dead-end .The closest I've come to anything like is a schwinn hydrometric which is a 1997 it's more or less the same bike. So if anyone can help I would be grateful! The Bikes serial number is: St7081037 if that helps thanks lazy_boy

You still got the original seat? If you have, take a look underneath it for a date stamp - there's normally two stamped wheels with a year and month - with an arrow pointing to em.
Ammaco have been exclusively distro'd by Cycle King now for years. I'd say looking at the serial number and the fact it's got seat-stay brake lugs and 14mm dropouts it's more than likely from 2005+

Found the seat it says nelo 227 with a (H) on one side at the bk and a (5) on the over side plus had Ammaco in White on the side

have a look on the underside under the rails, there should be a daisy wheel date stamp

That's a guess tho Ed - them seatstay brake lugs smack of mid 2000's on this type of bike :daumenhoch:

so not sure that interpretation holds :-)

It's not quite the same Olly - top and downtubes are diff at the headtube, no girly-curls on the stays. I reckon though they've just got hold of a frame over in Taiwan and copied the shit out of it.
There's a few Ammacos that Cycle King flogged in the mid 2000's with an identical frame bar the brake lugs (most of the others are the generic v's).
